The staff at Legacy Point is busy getting ready for a fantastic year!   We can’t wait to see familiar faces and meet our new families!

As we continue to grow, we have some exciting changes.  Many of you may have noticed our new “mobile” classroom.  I am committed to keeping class sizes low and providing support to all our learners.  With that being said, we have added a 3rd section of 5th grade.

Our Parent Lighthouse (PTIB) is excited for another year of connecting with families.  They have several fun family events planned.   They will have an information table at our Welcome Back Open House on August 7th (details below).

August 7th Welcome Back Open House. 2:00-4:00!  Please join us in the gym at 2:00 to greet our amazing staff!  There will be a  short presentation in the gym and classroom doors will open at 2:15.  You are welcome to bring supplies to ease the load for the first day.

August 8th First Day of School!  We will kick off our school year for students with a Clap In.  Please join us on the blacktop in the back of the school starting at 8:45.  Students will find their classroom teachers who will be holding signs with their names on them.  Students will parade into the building with parents clapping them into the 23-24 School Year.  Kindergarten parents,  the Kindies will have a special clap in on Thursday, August 10th.  The kindie  teacher team will reach out to you with directions for students.

Parking Lot and Traffic Flow Pattern   Just a reminder our lot will remain a right turn only lot.  Cars may only enter and leave our parking lot by turning right.  This has been designed in collaboration with the Town of Parker to maximize safety and maintain efficiency.

Lunch This year free lunch will be available to all students.   Please note that Legacy Point will not be serving breakfast.   Here is a link to the DCSD Nutrition website with more information.

Special Education records which have been collected by Douglas County School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or the provision of special education in the district, must be maintained under state and federal laws for the period of five (5) years after special education services have ended for the student. Special education services end when the student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, or completes his/her educational program at age 21, or moves from the district.
